A Report from Neve Shalom/Wayat al Salam

Beneficiary of the 2008 Peacemaking Offering of Mission Presbytery

You may remember that part of Mission Presbytery's portion of the Peacemaking Offering this year is going to the little community in Israel called Neve Shalom/Wayat al Salam, Hebrew and Arabic for "Oasis of Peace."

This is an exciting endeavor within Israel, located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, where Jews and Arabs live together in community, speaking one another's language and educating their children in both Hebrew and Arabic. They reach out to the general community with their Peace School, bringing Jews and Arabs together to learn how to live together peacefully.
